In the 1930s Poet-Devotee Sri Muruganar wrote three verses on the true meaning of Deepavali and placed them before Sri Bhagavan who added two more verses to the same effect making it a pentad titled ‘Naraka Jayatiram’ and these five songs are sung by devotees during the Deepavali special puja at Bhagavan’s Samadhi Shrine. These have been uploaded with texts in Tamil, English transliteration and meaning.

The last song is from Sri Ramana Sannidhi Murai verse 1231, ‘Deepavali Prostration to Sri Bhagavan’.
